This 28km Ba Na Hills route is standard "go to" for all Danang local cyclists from the west district. The end of the course you will see a roundabout and a big "Ba Na hills Golf Club" sign. It features beautiful 8 hilly landscape, lakes and paved road lined with flower garden. This area and roads were developed because this leads to the Ba Na hills Amusement Park and Golf Course by Sun World Vietnam.

There are 3 main cycling segments you can use as reference when doing a Ba Na hills route and some details below. I will focus on #1 and create a separate route breakdown for #2 and #3.

  1. Ba Na hills - Standard Route

28.1km leisure ride with breathtaking views of green hills, mountain, lakes and garden landscapes. You go through initial 2.1km of residential commercial area, 6 traffic lights with 1 trailer superhighway intersection. Total of 8 hills with 2-6% gradient before reaching the Ba Na hill sign. Read more below for segment analysis.

  2. Standard course with passage to Ba Na hills cable car station loop

This is an option after the standard course with 5.9km round trip to sign further west with 4 more hills around the Ba Na car park area and employee residential buildings. As this is a private area by Sun World, guards may or may not allow you to pass thus "passage" is not absolute. Try your luck with the guards. Guards step in front of you at the main gate and say "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" (Or at least what I imagine).

  3. Last Traffic Light (Đ. Nối Intersection) to Ba Na hill Golf Course sign

Uninterrupted 14.4km roundtrip segment good for hills training.

After passing through the 6th and last traffic light stated in the standard course, you start this training course west, ride through 7 hills with 2-5% gradients, reach the roundabout and Ba Na sign and go back east.

You can also opt to try your luck with the guards for additional 5.9km cable car station loop and try passage to Ba Na hills cable car station loop but not recommended. Full YouTube segment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY0MUH1rCR8
